Same here.
I took it out and went for a short drive. As soon as it stopped spinning the ring went back in place.
I also dumped the BHAF and went back to the stock box except upgraded to an Amsoil (Donaldson) air filter.
I have this major problem with high frequency noise. It got worse as my spousal freq range went bad.
