Detroit Diesel 4-53 question
Hello everyone, does anyone know if pistons for a 4-53 Turbocharged engine will work in a regular 4-53? Personally I don't see why not but that's just my uneducated opinion... Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks,

I believe they are lower compression and there was a difference in the top ring land or height. I know on marine 6-71s were different. Not that they probably would not work but it would be down on power. Tim
