De-badged Truck

After seeing so many nice trucks that have been de-badged, I decided to jump in and do the same to mine. The only ones I did not remove are the tailgate decals.

Looks good. May want to address that bumper next.... Did it leave any paint ghosts?

the SLT badge left a ghost on the pass. side but that is really the only one. I need to buff the paint on the driver side where the 2500 was (not a good idea to use a scotch pad to try to remove the glue ).

the bumper will be the next part of the body to be addressed, after I do the brakes on the back.

I am trying to decide on building a heavy duty bumper or finding a wrecked sport that has good bumpers, headlights, and grille and having them painted to match and put those on.

I am leaning more towards the sport option, even though it is more expensive.

Well I started with fishing line but that kept breaking, so then I switched to some wire which didnt break as often.

To get the glue off I just picked off the big stuff and used some tar and bug remover I found in the garage.

What I would like to do is have all the silver sprayed with black Line-x, then i could do black bumpers.
