Wonder how much tire dressing and how many people it took took to make the tires look that good .

Either for the niche business, or one of those people with too much disposable cash. Not mentioning any names . Certainly be a one of a kind convesation piece when the boys got together.

I don't understand why they chose the engine they did. That is a non turbocharged 855. It may have a Roots blower on the other side.
That model of engine is much older than what the claimed vintage of the truck is. They claim the truck is a 1992. By that time, Cummins was well into making NTCs for the 855 line up. I am not sure this set up is actually smog legal in many places, especially Kalifornia.

yup that was the first small cam 855, no turbo or supercharger on that puppy , but that engine could make flames come out of the stacks going down the road.

I would say that it is a Mile-Marker as they supply the Military.

Better to put it in the bed. Off the front, you would be riding around on the bumpstops
Don't under estimate how heavy this equipment really is.

I was reading about it. It seems like it would weigh in the 700 - 900 lb. range for a 30,000lb one which would be nice. I might be swapping out axles to some much heavier duty ones so it wouldn't be much of a problem up front.

That, and it was mostly just a joke. If they had a heavier duty winch that was a little more reasonable (like 200lbs.) an could do around 20,000 lbs. that would be worth it!

My bad! I mis-understood your post and emotion. Sometimes it's tough to interpret what someone is saying when you're reading it!

I guess it would be worth just driving off the road someplace and getting good and stuck just to have him come and pull you out.
