Need Feedback - Does it look cool or tacky?

I posted the picture in my gallery. It is titled:

RAM MUD FLAP

It is the Dura Flap Mud Flap and then I bought the factory RAM BADGE (goes on the front grill). I am looking to install the Ram emblem on the flaps. In the photo it is only attached with tape to demonstrate what it would look like.

Do you guys think it looks cool or tacky????

I think it will look good. Just a little lower and a little more centered. The only thing to worry about though is the crappy two sided tape they put on those things, you might want to put a better adhesive on them so they stay put. Just my opinion, but hope it helps.

It's OK by me. Would be cool if you could get red L.E.D.'s for eyes.

DodgeCowboy83's:

I went with the #7 03 DF SS (front) and then the same style for the rears. Got them for $200.00 (tax & delivered).

I had the same idea, just used husky molded flaps and CTD emblems. They have been on for close to two years now.

Put it a little lower and center it and it'll look pretty sweet.

Ok, I will go thru with the Ram emblem install.

The emblem was only "test mounted". I will measure and then mount it so that it will be centered.

RamWheelsBy4 :

Looks SWEET! That was my other choice, the Cummins Emblem....

I will post the pics of the final product when I am done. We are in MONSOON season here in Arizona and my work has to be done in the garage. I guess I can't complain when we get 340 days of sunshine...

Put it right above the stainless piece at the bottom and it will look good. Do like ramWheels and screw them on too or they will certainly disappear....

I agree.... you better use a "hard" connection method or those things will be gone quick. I think it'll look about as good as mudflaps can! (not a big fan)

too much going on if you ask me... lower is better, but off is best. I reccomend staying with the chrome strip at the bottom.

I drilled the emblem, then beveled(countersunk) to match the countersunk stainless steel flat head bolt. Put them in place with 3m double sided tape and used self locking stainless nut. I did not really think they would last, but like I said they have been on since July 2004.

I agree the lower section will look better than dead center.

I agree, I'm not a fan of the emblems. They're right up there with chrome wheel well trim. Blah!
