The price wont triple. But the the distance that I have to drive to get them from a dealer will triple.
But at this point I just wish the 6.7 cummins could find its way to the Ford Superduties

Why you want to pay 10k more for same option truck? with a tranny that wont hold up to the Cummins. TS are not all that great of a tranny.

Maybe he's on to something. With the UAW running things I doubt that Chrysler will survive in the coming years.

Don't forget--in addition to the UAW the government is going to be helping out too-----don't that give you a warm and fuzzy feeling

Pull Ya, that is exactly why my 2003 Dodge is the last Chrysler product I will ever buy new. From age 14 to 47 I have owned 12 Mopars and 1 GM, and after the UAW crap, I will never buy another! It makes me puke. Going bankrupt and fixing there woes is one thing, but giving them to the UAW and forcing them to build micro cars that no one wants to buy and telling shareholders, sorry but were are giving the UAW 55% makes me puke!

Exclamation Pessimestic future...MANY NEW TAXES and UNCERTAINTIES

If I read the climate of Uncle Sam, they want nothing but Smart cars in our future, like it or not! I have taked to MANY people (Baby Boomers)who shared their feelings with me and that is that they are going to keep their current vehicle since there will not be a comparable replacement available to purchase. Obviously, this will further reduce vehicle demand. This is before fuel being taxed as high or higher than europe is.

The boomers that I have talked to are now beginning to say that they were glad to have lived when they did and that they feel sorry for the era that their kids will eventually be living in.

These thought IMHO certainly reflect a very pessimentic future, to say the least.

Increased vehicle scrap rates are being bantered about on the news, yet the fundamentals have changed...as long as people do not feel that the replacment vehicle will be "better," there is no reason to replace it by buying a new one.

Instead of a 14 million unit year, 6 to 7 million just might be the new norm. And with it steel, glass, and tire industries along with their jobs will be affected.

Most of the Dodge dealers in ND are being shut down. I got my deposit money back on one I was ordering. So it's not exactly a choice

Parts will always be available. Whats the issue? If I can get parts for an '83 Allis Chalmers or a '47 Ferguson TO-20, I'm sure that I can keep our trucks going.

So is a thread that has "been beat to death like a twice-killed horse" deader than a dead thread? Is it negative?

What if it was on a treadmill moving in the opposite direction, is it even deader now?

You mean Caldor's closed?

I need to wake up
