General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

Why not... if I was Ford, I'd want to own Cummins too.

If I did not own a Cummins, I would have purchased a powerstroke. I don't think its anywhere near as good a engine as my Cummins, but its better than a Issuzu-max. My next truck would be this one if it came with a Cummins:

I know that'll never happen
Actually there were some International medium duty trucks with a Cummins engine. My dad says they were the best truck he drove when he was in the field logging wells (He works for Schlumberger, 25 years, 15 field, 10 training)

After working for years with the general public, I have come to the conclusion that there are more moron's out there than smart people. I just had a guy tell me in the showroom saturday that Cat has an engine ready for pick-ups but nobody can make a pick-up that'll stand up to it. Enough all ready, where do people come up with this crap?

Ford starts these rumors just to pick up more moron customers to take money so they can pay their legal bills.

Two reasons why I bought a DODGE: #1 Ford, and #2 Chevorlet.

If, I didn't own a Cummins Rams I would be riding in a 94-97 7.3 powerstroke Ford. They have vent window, what can I say, I drive a first gen.

7.3

6.0

hate to break ya'lls heart but since dodge is owned by mercedes their will be a time in the future that the mercedes motor will be in the dodge pick up. what do you think is in the dodge sprinter and the freightliner fl 70's. do not believe you can get the fl 70 any more with 5.9 like in the old days. believe they are trying to develope a motor that will work in the dodge trucks, because its cheaper to build your own other then out source your motor

Once a quarter. It always does. I have been hearing that in two years Ford will have the Cummins almost my whole life.
