bio diesel does it need fuel additive?
quick question, does the bio diesel need the fuel additive such as stanadyne, or can you even run it with bio diesel?
BD gels at higher temps than #2, you will need a little more additive a little earlier in the season. Other than that no other additives are needed.
In Texas I doubt it gets cold enough to gel BD in the winter anyway, you could go year round with no additive.

The answer to the original question must be answered with a question - why do you use additive?
If it's for cetane boost, lubricity, or detergency, no you do not need it.
If you use additives for the purpose of dispersing water, dropping the gel/cloud point of the fuel, or stabilizing it for long term storage, then yes I would recommend using an additive. If you are considering long term storage, I suggest also using a biocide - racor makes a good one, as microorganisms tend to be a problem with long term b100 storage.

20% of your money will be going to americans not to the middle east, and you'll be increasing lubricity while you're at it. You're so lucky to have a pump nearby!
