FUEL Additive or Bio Diesel?

What is better for cleaning out a fuel system? Say I need a real good injector cleaner, what is the best way to get that done?

Many claim that the new ULSD is doing an excellent job of cleaning out fuel system deposits. I've never heard of additives plugging up filters so must assume they don't clean as well as bio.

Biodiesel would be the best in my opinion.

Im trying to track what sounds to me to be a miss. I am going to loosen the fuel lines today and see if I notice a difference. Also changing the overflow valve. I thought that I may have a clogged injector by chance and cleaning was just something I wanted to try. I have read that the 370's may be the culprit but have had them over a year and never noticed this noise before recently so Im stumped. I also posted a thread about a leak at my exhaust manifold at the gasket between the head and manifold. Just not sure what to do next. Thanks.

cracked all six fuel lines at the injectors one at a time and they all made the motor change so I guess they are functioning at idle. Changed the overflow valve and no change there. The truck still goes "tac-a tac-a tac-a" down the road. Makes me think the thing is coming apart. Also have some type of leak at the exhaust manifold/head junction. I guess changing back to stock injectors could be another test but if it continues after that, what else can be done?

Tex, my bet is the exhaust problem is the source of the "tac-a tac-a tac-a".
What I've seen a few times if a person has had the exhaust manifold off is that on reinstall a gasket will slip and only catch one bolt. Happens mostly at #6 where you can't see it well.
Also the exhaust manifolds are well known for shrinking, sometimes cracking underneath. Easy to tell if it's shrunk, the #1 and #6 bolts will look bent. Sometimes just loosening all the bolts and retorquing them will fix the problem.
Amazingly the bolts will go back straight once loose.

Why would I see "leak" at the manifold though? What I am seeing is some type of moisture that is turning the manifold dark like it is wet. I tried to scrape some off with my finger and smell it but nothing really came off. Im concerned I have a head issue but not sure.
