bio diesel does it need fuel additive?

quick question, does the bio diesel need the fuel additive such as stanadyne, or can you even run it with bio diesel?

Typically, you do not need to run a fuel additive with biodiesel as it has more lubricating qualities than standard diesel does. I have run two tanks of B20 and noticed an appreciable difference in engine tone. It was much quieter after running the B20, and I couldn't tell much difference in seat of the pants power. I haven't been able to run anymore due to the limited availability in my area and not being near the station when I needed fuel. I will continue to run it.

As was stated below, yes you need to run an anti-gelling additive if the weather is cold. The higher percentage of biodiesel you run has an inverse affect on it's gel point. For example, B20 will gel at one temperature, say 25 degrees, while B100 will gel at a higher temperature, say 35 degrees. I'm not 100% certain on the temperatures there, but you get the idea.

biodiesel

The only additive you need is for gelling , but sooner the dino fuel , same additives as dino , it depends on what % of bio your running , the higher the bio[ 80% and up] and the colder[30 deg. f.and lower].
