Arizona More Expensive??

I have been looking for a 2005-2006 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4.
Here is Arizona the going price for a 2005, on average with same options, from $34,000 - $39,000.

A used 2006 in AZ has been going for $40,000 - $45,000

I started looking in the Midwest and the prices dropped ALOT!
I have seen MANY 2006 models, loaded, with under 1,000 miles going for $35,000!!

Why is there such a dramatic difference. If that is the case, I would rather drive east and get the truck for $5,000-$10,000 cheaper...

Am I missing something????

Just for reference, the states in the mid-west that have less expensive pricing, so far have been:

Missouri
Oklahoma
Ohio
Wisconsin
Illinois

Dont try Oregon. I found that it seems the way of thinking here is its what you pay not what you get for your money..........C.O.L. seems way higher up here. They have no sales tax, so they make sure and hike every thing up to cover their loss.

I just built a LOADED out the wazoo 06 2500 long bed quad cab 4x4 with cummins, 6spd, LSD, premium cloth, pimp daddy stereo with Sirius blah blah blah.

$38365 invoice. Incentives right now are 4000$ unless I am reading the website incorrectly. You get another $500 for Farm Bureau.

I just like playing with the Dodge truck configurator on Yahoo

If you buy a new truck out of state, do you have to pay sales tax, or is it waived?

I heard that some people buy out of state to avoid sales taxes.
