this is my new project 1958 HD6 dozer with a 4 cylinder 344 cubic inch Buda engine.

I have never rebuilt a diesel engine before and don't really even know where to start. I took the head off thinking it had a bad head gasket but found 2 bent pushrods and a cracked piston. I bought a complete rebuild kit and had the head revalved and am ready to tear it down.

do I just take the pan off, degrease it, and unbolt the connecting rods from the crank? where can I get a sleeve puller that will fit this thing? it has a 4.4375 bore.
