Lightbulb 4BT in Second Gen S-10

Hey guys,
I was wonering if there are as many performance upgrades as there is for the 6bt? im assuming the 4bt is "dumb" with mechanical injection? But was wondering if anybody had any good sites for performance and tech. sites about the 4bt. also think it would make a s-10 reg. cab move pretty good?

That would make a S-10 move alright.
Just surf around the 12V forum. the 4BT is the same thing minus 2 cyl.
Same injectors and pump mods etc etc.
A 4BT loves the HX35 everyone is removing from thier 6bt.

Sounds like a really fun project.
I cant access my e mail from here but there is a 4BT mailing list with lots of good info flowing through it.

I really wanna throw a 4BT into our 93 S10, but we've pretty much decided on a Small block Chevy. Yeah, everyone has one with a 350 in it, but hey, I've got 4-bolt main 350's coming out my ears It's hard to find an inline pumped 4bt

I saw an 80's model ranger at scheid with a 4bt in it. It was a 4x4 5 speed with a lift, and some boggers on it. I was checkin it out in the parking lot, and he had nitrous on it, and im sure some other mods. He ran at the drag strip on Sunday. It ran ok. Wasnt super fast or anything. Im thinking 11's or 10's through the 1/8th, but it really didnt smoke any(more fuel needed?), and it was really cool to see it go down the track.

If I could find an inline pumped one, I'd do it. I think I could get 500hp out of it

Not sure...we used them in tractors

Inline pump...like a P pump on a 6BT on a 2nd gen, instead of a VE style rotary on a 1st gen
