Ok one last question, I have a 96 1500 ram and was wondering, after a nice big rebuild, if I could mate that tranny to teh 4bt and have it survive awhile? Only reason I want that tranny is because that makes my life easier.

i just posted this in another thread, guy asking about a 4b in a 1500. theres a guy working in our shop right now that has the 4b out of a frito lay truck in his 93 K1500 chevy. he just drove from colorado to california and got a few over 30mpg and said he passed pretty much everyone on the road. It's his uncle's truck and he's scheming how he can buy/trade his uncle something for it! I'll ask him for his uncle's number tomorrow if you're still interested.
