My Dad was in the army while I was growing up and I always loved those trucks for some reason. I wish I had a farm or a house in a rural area so I could own one of these.

If I remember right, the 5 tons have an 8.3l Cummins in them.

those 800 series trucks with the cummins in them sound amazing. i think they are 250hp. my buddy has an 814. LWB cargo version of that thing and it is HUGE. the bed is 21ft long and i could park my 2.5ton cargo truck on it no problem.

They usually need some repairs. but if you keep looking there are some good ones out there. I've bought stuff through DRMO before. I'm waithing for HMVees.

You'll be waiting awhile. Most of them get cut up. The only way to buy a complete one is to have an inside conection, otherwise you'll be piecing one together. Most of the ones I've seen for sale are upwards of 20K and are from the late 80's.
