WVO? Anyone burning it? Or WMO ?

I have been looking into Waste Vegetable oil and Waste Motor Oil for a while now, and am thinking about burning it in my truck. Hate to be the first though! Anyone have any thoughts?

Andy

You have to be careful with a common rail engine. WVO or BD in excess of 50% has been found to cause major problems.

I have run WVO in my 93 and my rabbit. The 93 I would put 8 gals in the tank and then top off on top(warm weather only). The rabbit I have been adding about 1 gal each fill up. Brings my MPG up past 50 per purchased gallon. with a newer truck there is a lot more money on the table. Honestally I would do the biodiesel over wvo If I had the newer truck because it gets processed a littlle more so its more cosistent. my 2 cents

I run wvo cut with a bit of diesel and diesel cut with a bit of wvo. I plan to burn my wmo next in small increments with the wvo and diesel.

But my 96 is diffrent from your 03. I bought a 94-98 for that reason

I've got 20K WVO miles on my 04.5 Dodge. But I have a two tank conversion, starting on diesel or biodiesel. 40K total miles. So far so good.

I think biodiesel would be the way to go if you don't want to do the two tank set up and its a newer vehicle.
