Diesel here is down to 2.70-2.80 in some parts of town.
I bought an 91 gallon aluminum transer tank for RDS for $300 shipped to Houston. They have a scratch and dent dept.
I will head to Terlingua at Thanksgiving and try OJ for a fill up. With the peso at 12.8/1, their fuel is under $2.00/gallon, I believe. My neighbor there says all the locals go & fill their tanks, no problem. With fuel being cheaper here, at least for now, maybe Mexico will let up on their BS stuff.
It is only a question of time before it goes up again here.
I have read where the Gulf Cartel is fighting La Familia. Not sure if they impact Juarez. Of course, every week you read of police killed and the Mexican govt. war against the narcos. Hard to say who is ahead.

Wow. Under $2.00 a gallon?? I just talked to a trucker here yesterday from Juarez and he told me it has not dropped at all. Maybe it is the peso exchange then that is getting the price down.

The drug cartels are still fighting big time here. I really do not want to risk it over there (Juarez) right now. Just saw on the news 7 more killed just today!! They are killing easily 100+ people a week right now It is just getting crazy.

I agree, not worth the risk in having to walk back across or muchless not coming back at all. Although, Laredo and/or Eagle Pass is not as bad as Juarez, it's a 50/50 chance, either you make it or you don't. And for me it's a half-day trip there/back.

The pesos is 12.77. Over the last year, it was roughly 10.8 and even went to 10 briefly. At the current rate, the dollar goes 20% further. So the actual price has not dropped, but our cost in $ has.

Got back from West Texas and an OJ trip. Diesl under $2/gallon, the excahnge at the station was 12.8 to $1. No problems with going back. Customs did not even ask what I had to declare. Did not even look twice at my tank. Pesos today is 13.8 to 1.

supr...Thanks for the update I sure wish the violence was not so bad in Juarez MX right now. I just cannot risk it to go over there. But at least the Diesel at my local Flying J is only $2.17 gallon now.
