I was wondering if anyone on here has stretched their existing 89-93 CTD frame in order to bolt on a crew cab? I have seen pics of it done and have heard some small talk of it being done. I am interested in going this route and want to know if anyone has done this or know someone who has. I would assume that a good fabrication shop could do this modification. Any help/info would be very helpful for me. I plan to use a 1980 crew cab and put it on my 93' turbo diesel.

 

I suppose with enough time and money anything is possible but why bother unless you are really in love with the old rust bucket.

Just make sure that you "Z" cut the frames and insert pieces by several feet for optimum strength.
