Excursion conversion

Here is my 2000 Excursion that I will be installing a 12 valve. The V10 and the 4R100 are out. I will be building the 4R100 to handle the diesel.

The V10 has a rod knock. Any one need this?

Here is the 12 valve I will be using. Not many miles since rebuild, maybe about 3,500. Has a leaking head gasket I need to fix. Will probly o-ring it also. I might be adding another turbo.

Here is the truck I took it out of. Had to much rust.

I installed the 5.9 in my 89 suburban a little over 2 years ago. The suburban has alot of rust in the back end under the rear doors. I pulled the engine and sold it. Have not made much progress the last couple of weeks. We have about 54 inches of snow on the ground, all within 2 weeks. What a mess! I will get some more pictures up soon.

Is that a Camaro I see in the background?

You should swap that V-10 in there!

if that is a camaro i would have to respectfully disagree with that idea!....putting a ford motor in a chevy is agaist the law in all 50 states....and canada!....punishable by death.... or at least it should be IMO

Boys, that's a 68-72 Nova...... Don't sacrilege it by uttering the word Camaro in it's presence.

Bet ya can't tell what I own by that statement........

My dad had a 72 Nova, 350, 4spd. He said it had headers and carb work. It ran 128mph @ 15 secs in the 1/4. I asked why so fast while a slow time. His reply, it took til 4th gear and 75mph before it would hook.

69 Nova Is what it is, a long ago project that never got finished.

Well I pulled the head off yesterday, and today I set it up in the bridgeport and cut it for o-rings. Got a new ATS manifold today. Will order gaskets next week and get it back together. Going to reseal the vaccum pump also, it's leaking oil.
