Remove cab?

So there's a lot of talk about how one to remove the cab to work on the PowerStrokes... Hell, I'm even seeing a lot of guys getting plugs stuck int he heads of the gassers and needing to lift the cab.

For those with Fummins conversions, do you need to pull the cab to pull the head on the Cummins enigne?

I have no Ford experience, but how often do you need to pull the head on a 12v is the real question?
Every 350,000 miles or so if it is not a super hot rodded motor, would be my guess.

I have pulled the cab on a few Ram diesel trucks to replace engine but only when doing a complete engine. When removing just the cylinder head not really necessary. You will need to remove cowl to get push rods out.

Gonna be a 24valve, but same difference.

It's not just head jobs I'm worried about:

If I can pull the head, I know I have clearance to get to the rear rockers for adjustment... I know I have enough clearance to get to the rear injector to bleed the fuel system...

On top of that, it's not gonna be as easy to pull the cab on my conversion. It's going in an Excursion. It'll be like pulling the cab, bed, and a topper all at the same time.
