Im baaack!Its been awhile,and unfortunatley some things have changed.I was forced to sell my 91 in the need for more room,i.e. extended cab.Unfortunatley my new truck (an 01 2500)runs on gas (for now).My ? is how hard is the swap to a 12v? I miss my diesel terribly,but ,do like my new truck.I would love to be able to swap in a 12v diesel.Just wanted to know if anyone knew how difficult this would be.Thanks for any feedback in advance,as I really want to be part of the diesel community again.

 

It's doable. I had an 01 diesel couldn't get rid of the dying lift pumps/ruined vp44 i/p fast enough. I'm thinking under the hood gas and diesel are the same diminsions but you better get another opinion. 12v engine, trans, & diesel rearend and you should be good to go after many hours of blood sweat n tears. Oh and probably front end springs and shock for the diesel. Good luck with your swap if you do it.
