Talking Diesel swap ideas SHOW YOUR IMAGINATOIN

i want you to post your idea of a cool diesel swap, it can be any diesel into any car/truck/tractor/hanglider/ anything you think a diesel would be better in! i want to see the imagination and inginuity of this crowd.

for example: 1965 dodge belvedere with a 5.9 cummins/w 6spd + a triple overdrive

here is my 47 chevy waiting for the new/ slightly over used cummins diesel motor

My rhino with a properly sized diesel engine that would run 40+ would be cool.

Couple projects Im lookin at doing (if I had the coin, theyd be done already) are a '57 Chevy with a Duramax. Either a built 4L80 or better yet a 48re. Or a '69 Camaro, red/black two-tone, also with a Duramax (or maybe the new 4.5 DMax?) And a '67/'68 Mustang fastback with the Eleanor "body kit" (ricer terminology) on it-from Gone In 60 Seconds-blue w/ white stripes, and a 6.4 Powerstroke in it (I know, I know, but its better than a 6.0...) Also, maybe a '71 Cuda or '68-'70 Charger w/ the new Cummins V8. '57 Chevy pickup, bright yellow 4 wheel drive conversion, shortbox, and a Cummins.

Been tryin to think of a good candidate for the VW twin turbo TDI V10 from the Toureg...

Those are my swap ideas. Just wish I had the mulah to do them

I would like to have either a Jeep CJ7 with a 3.9 4BT cummins or a late 60's chevy 4x4 long bed pickup with a 12v and a 5 spd. Either one would be good for me but I just don't have time or money to do one at this point.

Here's my next conversion. I'm gonna put a narrow front drive axle under it and stuff a 6 banger under the hood

Not a truck, but a ski boat with a Mercedes diesel would be nice.

If you could get the v6 mercedes diesel to spool fast enough it would be a great boat I think. Would take some custom risers and wet exhaust but should get great mileage and I think stock they have close to 400 lbs torque and it comes on early.

Some day, maybe, have to finish up the 6bt ramcharger first.

I thought about a 4bt into a 71 shortbed my father in law might getting rid of. That thing would get great mileage and still look cool doing it. I will have to convince the wife that it will be her commuter car.....

I think big old cars would be great with a diesel.
A 1964 62-Series Caddy 4-door with a CTD would be sweet.
A Lincoln Continental would be neat too.

I got my old FJ60 LandCruiser back home with a 2F 4.2L 6cyl gas that I'd love to swap a Toyota 3B 4-banger diesel and 5spd into. The 3B diesels and H55 5-spd were standard issue...if you bought it out of the US.

I have a '73 dart swinger I have no interest in dropping a huge gass burner into. I love my trucks, but I have been thinking diesel on this one.
