Diesel swap ideas SHOW YOUR IMAGINATOIN
id really like to swap a 6.4 in my 1990 bronco...yeah right i would have a hard time finding one of them. maybe a 6.0 would be more sensible. i really want a straight axle with coil springs...once again yeah right. i would have to go with leafs. i been looking for years to find parts to do this conversion but i have yet to come up with a powerstroke with a wiring harness, trans, and straight axles for my bronco. any suggestions???
My plan is to eventually swap the nv4500 and 2nd gen cummins in my truck and take my motor and tranny and drop it in a 76-80s Jeep j20 pickup. Ive been hooked on full size jeeps since Twister. had about 3 they will go anywhere and take a huge beating
I'll give this thread a bump
I picked up a early 05 common rail ISL that will be going in my 450 sometime soon. Putting a set of jakes on it now and working on a solution for the extra room needed to service the jakes or remove injectors after it's in the truck. It has a crappy flapper brake now.
Gonna be tight!
Here's a few pics,...motor is out of a low mileage monoco.

The coolest ride I saw last winter was a 12v put in a H-1 hummer. stock height. it was for under ground use. ken at autoworldmt gave me a ride. at 120mph it was still running smooth, eating road quickly.
they kept the allison tans in it. we took some air force guys recently back from iraq for a ride. they were impressed.

Thinking of putting a JD 329 dsl. engine from our '74 JD 4400 combine in our '91 Ford F250. The 4400 combine is completely wore out, but the engine runs excellent. I heard one time that the JD dealer in Belle Plain, MN was doing this.
'48 ford convertible with a 12valve and an automatic... single 4" exhaust... tubbed out rear end (no slicks, just nice fat street tires)... leave the engine stock and mate the tranny to ford 9"... That's the idea... anybody have one of those lying around (the car, I have the 12v)...
