Hey ya'll I put a 24v in a 94 chevy k2500, I put a 13 inch southbend clutch on it and now my bellhousing interferes on the pressure plate, it is a nv4500 transmission and the bellhousing that came with seemed to be right as it bolted right up with no clutch installed on the engine.
Is it the correct flywheel? Are you sure its a bell/pressure-plate interference? Or maybe its disc/flywheel interference? Is the disc in backwards?
FWIW, I've noticed some of the 13" clutches have a larger diameter damper spring package, and that requires a flywheel with a larger diameter rebated area in the center.
Will need to know the:
- nv4500 source/application
- bellhousing source/application
- flywheel source/application
- southbend clutch application
Yes I am sure the bellhousing is hitting the pressure plate. It is a sbc 0090 clutch and is a push type I believe. I can post a picture later but I can see marks on the pressure plate and scratches in the bellhousing from it, I had heard before that sometimes the pressure plate can run a pretty tight fit in there but I never expected a clutch advertised as a stock replacement to hit.

Yes that clutch, ill have to take another look at my adapter plate. Hopefully thats my issue thanks I didn't think of that as the engine was from and automatic I believe. But that should give me the space I need if it is the automatic one
Ah okay, sorry this is my first swap. I just measured 1 1/2 inch about on my adapter plate, I couldn't see exactly what you got in that picture on yours though
