Got the mud flaps and body molding installed, now it's clean up time

 

That molding ties in really good with the overall truck, nice job!!

 

Dang that looks good with the new moulding! How was it contouring it around the post behind the back door? Will you post a picture of that when you get a chance?

It wasn't bad at all, the new stuff is pretty flexible and has 3m tape on it which sticks like $&$! on a blanket. The factory LE molding stops just before the angle and that's where I stopped too.



Cleaned up the interior a bit this morning and loaded the kids up and headed into town for their swimming lessons. Fits the family very well

 

wow that thing looks nice! the trim really makes it. how is it inside the cab for road noise? do all your doors seal up good?

 

It's remarkably quiet, all the insulation I put every where must of done something! I can talk to the kids in the back seat easily enough, my wife says it isn't as quiet as my '11 diesel but it's close.

I adjusted all the weatherstripping flanges and then all the doors with the paper method when doing the weatherstripping. No wind noise today at least.

 

Tell me more about this paper method? Also did you use OEM or aftermarket weatherstripping?

 

You use a piece of paper to adjust the weather stripping around the perimeter of the door. Shut the door with the paper in there and pull it out, you want just enough drag on the paper that it takes some effort to pull it out. Tap the weatherstripping flange with a rubber mallet to adjust the flange accordingly.

I used the weatherstripping packages from rockauto. Its good stuff, even has the glue already in the flange channel

1) Did you use the donor wiring harness?

2) Where are those seats from?

I used all 4 wiring harnesses from the donor, the cab harness needed to be lengthened.

The seats, seat belts and console are from a 06 F350 Harley Davidson edition.
