Some 1st Gen pullin questions?
Some 1st Gen pullin questions?
Had a question as far as sled stops, Basicly deminsions and such, if any one has any pics I could see that would be great. Wanting to keep the rear bumper seein as how i do drive it on the street as well. Aslo do you guys recomend the use of front traction bars on the front axle, and what size of ring is standard on the pullin hitch? Thanks for the help!!!!!
you might want to look over the rules for whatever promoter your planning on pulling at, they might have the answers to a few of those questions...like whether or not they will even let you run front traction bars and they should definitly give you the hitch info....sorry i can't help more
3.5" hitch hole is pretty much the standard nowdays
This is my hitch and sledbump setup, as you can see the hitch is moved a foot forward,I would dump the rear bumper for pulling and get your hook point as far foward as the rules will allow. This will help reduce bounce and keep the front down

My truck goes from this

To this when the pullin season is over

As far as front bars, go for it if your rules will allow it
