Pinks All-out - Will air Aug 14th

Some people here might be interested in the Pinks All-out that will air August 14th. It was filmed this past weekend at the Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, GA.

I was tied up working with my car and never got to watch it, but from what I hear, a Cummins powered diesel made the final 16 cut and the crowd absolutely loved the truck! (I know for a fact it was a diesel and the crowd loved it, I just never got to see the truck to confirm what kind, specs, etc. Was told it was a 4wd Cummins with drag radials at all 4 corners though). Must have been pretty stout as they chose a 10.30 field!

That truck would be the 'black mamba'(not sure who owns the truck exactly). There is a video of one of the passes it made over on CompD

The Black Mamba is owned by Darren Morrison (Pro Street Diesel) out of Cairo, GA - Darren also owns a Pro Mod S-10 w/ a twin turbo Cummins which currently runs low 5's in the 1/8 mile

My husband (Micky Davis) has been driving the Black Mamba since Darren moved up to the Pro Mod class... We made it to the second round @ Pinks, where we lost by .032 seconds

We had a blast though... the PINKS crew and the crowd was extremely impressed by the Black Mamba....

We ran a 10.40 @ 126.58 mph Friday night during time trials and a 10.35 @ 127.06 mph on the first official run on Saturday... We heard that the second run was a 10.33 pass but I can't swear to it... Last year @ the Hayes Mopar event in Commerce, the Black Mamba made a 10.31 pass

It is a twin turbo Cummins, 4wd, 5,500 lb truck running on diesel fuel only

Not sure if this was the episode being talked about here, but I was watching Speed TV this morning and Pinks All Out had a black Dodge in the 16. I saw it make it past the first round, but I had to leave for work before the show was over.

Yeah i watched it last night on speed TV!!! That dodge was sweet! single stack and man did it pour some black smoke. It was by far a crowd favorite and had all the guys on pinks pullin for him. They had a lot of really good races on this episode too. Most were very very close

i was just getting ready to ask if anyone knew that black dodge and here is a thread already about it. That sure was a good running truck and did the diesel community well.

I was at the taping that weekend. The Dodge was by far my favorite as well as most of the crowd. I really hope PINKS comes back again, I'll be there.
