local pull
there will be a non sanctioned truck and tractor pull next month in northwest mo.
lots of local pickups will be entering and i was thinking of putting mine in just for giggles. now the main question............. assuming i will pull in 4-low is it better to start out easy to get the sled moving then hammer it or just go right from the start??

is your truck a manual or auto. you want to bring your rpm up as high as you can an ease off of the pedal or clutch for about 10ft then mash it to the floor. don't just mash it right off the start, check out bobcats post to see what happens when you launch without easing into it

sept. 17th at maryville mo.
put on by the elks lodge it will be out by the west airport
most of the regional pullers are done by then so they decided to do a non sanctioned pull and hopefully attract more competetors
1 mile west of maryville on state highway 46 then back north 1/2 mile

my first thought is to just start out slow and then get on it so i dont tear up much stuff! someone said to put in some blocks so the frame doesnt twist so i guess i gotta find out more about that
ya'll come on up it should be very intresting my truck will be the green dodge that blows up at about 10 feet hahahaha

max out the rear tires and deflate the fronts to around 20-25psi, traction bars are a real good idea or you could lose a drive shaft. i replaced my rear bump stops with some 8" long blocks, they are in the shape of a "T" and have the same bolt patern as the bumpstops so i can remove them after the pull and if your allowed to have hanging weights put as many as you can on the front end
