We are in Norfolk VA and pull in Elizebeth city NC, our trucks are broke now but maby we can come there and pull sometime. Were is it , how long to get there?

Thanks for your interest Mark. According to Yahoo it is approxiamately 5.5hrs from downtown to "downtown" Eastbend. This is a really small pull, track is 200ft, and to stop the pull off trucks they lengthen the chain about four or five feet and drop the shorter chain under the pad. most trucks only pull about 75 or so feet this way. They have an older sled and this is the only way to stop the trucks. A guy I work with is involved in this somewhat ( he pulls his lawn mower ) and i give him greif over the fact its only 200 ft. He would like to see the pulling association get a newer sled to stop the trucks and tractors and also a redesign for the lawn mowers because they are both an older design and the technology is better now to stop the higher power trucks and lawn mowers. I was at the DHRA event at The Rock this past weekend. But be sure to post up on the next Eastbend pull. They may have a short track and old sled, but it sure is fun.
