John_P & Red Rocket make 789HP

Just got a call from Dad, and the '96 12V laid down 789 Hp and 13XX Tq at Wayne's Dyno this afternoon. He said someone shot a video of it and it should be up on Wayne's website, soon. It seems the oil burners raise the bar even higher... Congrats!

Johnner, thanks for posting the numbers!

Yes, today, at "Waynes Dyno and Performance" in Jacksonville, N.C. my old
96' Dodge Red Ram with 251,000 miles, but with a new Scheid Diesel Built Twin Turbo Engine, laid down 789.90 H.P./1383.37 TQ. on Wayne Murphy's "Dynojet 248C with the updated "WinPep7" software! As my son said, one of the guys there did videotape the run and I will give you guys the link as soon as they post it on Waynes website. (www.waynesdyno.net/forums).

During the run, the force of the pressure in the exhaust system blew the 7"
"snorkel and flex pipe" right off the exhaust/tip of my truck!! Wayne's shop IMMEDIATELY filled up with thick black smoke! It took a few minutes for the fans to get all of the smoke out! IMO,.....there is "no smoke like 12 valve smoke!"

I want to thank Dan Scheid, Mike Wood, Brad Ingram and the entire crew at Scheid Diesel for the excellent job they did on my truck's engine! Also my sincere thanks to Clint and Ranee Cannon @ ATS Diesel along with Mike Meineke and Sean Porter for the excellent job they did in building my ATS "Five Star" Converter. Also, my thanks to Brian Koester @ Scheid Diesel
for assembling the unit for me.

Finally, my thanks to Wayne Murphy and his crew for putting up with us "dieselheads" again!

Brett:

Sorry about that buddy! Honestly, with the amount of people that were there, I really thought I would wait to run the truck another day. But,.......the place cleared out later in the afternoon and with Cris's encouragement I felt we needed to get it on the dyno to see where the power was at versus the engine dyno numbers.

John,

Better go put your numbers in the Ultimate HP list.

Brett,

Did you dyno the Cobra?

John, did you have it tested on Dan's new in-house engine dyno? What was the parasitic loss between the two? (You don't have to give out engine dyno #s).

2141pete:

Welcome to the website! It was a pleasure to have met you today and I hope you got that alarm fixed! Don't feel bad, as my 2002 used to do the same thing! It is definitely aggravating! Look forward to seeing you at some of our future events.

Keegan:

Thanks for the kind words buddy! Wish you could have been there. And thanks for the "heads-up" on adding my numbers to "Ultimate H.P. List!"
I actually forgot about that! BTW,.....Brett went 488 H.P./456 TQ with his Cobra.

Daniel:

Thanks for posting! Don't see you on here as much as I used to.

Yes, we ran the engine on Scheid's new "Taylor Engine Dynamometer!" I will send you a P.M. on the rest.
