I know you were just kidding around, no problem there buddy!
Yeah old COMP 461 sure has been quiet since he became involved in driving for Banks Power! I guess they have him on a "short leash!"

Its been nice having a quiet Compy! Its also a good thing I stayed permanently away from the TDR or I would have been awarded another vacation from there going after him.

Congratulations John! You do know you have until 11.49 until you get told to put a roll bar in the truck?
Your post about winning the 99 rally with 381hp had me thinking about the leaps and bounds the industry has made.
The competition in product development has pushed the industry to great levels, and to think we are just scratching the surface!

Don:
Yeah, your right, it has been nice. Johnner and I had a LONG talk with him at Atlanta and I think he saw some of my points as "legitimate", but time will tell on that. Your right about your "asssociation" there with TDR too! WOW Don,........you did have some "battles" over there buddy!

Eric:
Thanks for the nice comments!
I am aware of the 11.49 rule with DHRA and the NHRA tracks, but our local track here (Coastal Plains Dragway) has that "rule" at 11.99 which is because of their insurance carrier. So,.....if I hit 11.99 this weekend I will be DONE running the 1/4 mile track there until a roll bar/roll cage goes in as you mentioned. And,......that is my goal!!

Now those are some impressive numbers.
I can't imagine going on a beer run with you now. It was quite the ride back when you only laid down about 400 hp. Things sure have made a lot of progress in very short time.
I can't imagine anyone more deserving of such a machine.

Our goal now is to get kicked off our local 1/4 mile drag strip when I am finally able to get some traction and get the truck into the high 11's! That track's "cut-off" point on 1/4 mile elapsed times for insurance purposes is 11.99. When I ran the 12.1 back on 10-14-06 I was warned by the track officials that as soon as I hit 11.99 that I wouldn't be able to run the 1/4 mile anymore! After you hit 11.99 there, they require an NHRA approved roll bar/roll cage. This may very well happen next weekend too!

Congrats on the numbers John!!!!
But you need to tell your local track to bone up on the NHRA rules!! As Eric said, no rollbar or cage is required untill 11.49
