I don't make excuses about why they can't use mine, I just tell them no. I am not going to show up ready to pull and get messed over by some guy driving off with my hitch and making me look like the idiot. I am all for helping people out and will usualy go way way out of my way to help but if you can't even bring a hitch then you are just plain out of luck. When I show up I am ready to pull if your not then go sit in the stands and watch. Not trying to be a mean jerk but come on, I got ready and paid to pull, they can do the same. I will drive 75 miles back to my house and 75 back to get parts to fix a truck of a guy I dong even know and work all night on it so that he can pull the next night or get home for no charge just to help out another puller, but if he can't even show up with a hitch then I'm not going out of my way to give him mine. Would you go to the lake to go fishing and ask some guy at the dock for a rod and some bait its the same thing.

P.S. Is any one going to be at Delion? I will.

I bought my own hitch a year ago in case I ever decided to use it. I dont like borrowing anything from people. I finally used it yesterday

My first pull, I didn't have one. I didn't want one, didn't plan on pulling. So when my sledpuller buddies try talking me into it, I said, "I can't, I don't have a hitch." A few minutes later they show up smiling and proud of themselves with a clevis, clevis pin, hitch, hitch pin all borrowed from different members of thier group, even the pin that locks the clevis pin in place was borrowed. Well crap! Here we go pullin for the first time with 40's on. I usually use 35's for stuff like this. Of course, the 40's chewed the fenders and I've been addicted to this stuff ever since.
