Run the Edge on kill. Auto guys will be more helpful on tranny gear selections etc. I would guess Drive with O/D off, hold the brake to build boost & floor it, but this is only a guess.

4th gear LO is pretty tough with a stick, too! (at least with 37"s and a stock LUK)
3rd LO worked so well at the last pull, we tried for 4th.... OOOPS - might never get the white smoke out of the seat cushions!

I am kind of on the fence about pulling mine. I am planning on upgrading the tranny but will need the stock one until then. I'm a little worried about it - any thoughts on whether I should go ahead with it or not? It would definately be just for fun - not going for the gold or anything.

Well if its stock no need to build boost just put it too the floor in 4lo drive, get the sled moving and lock your convertor up,(this will build wheel speed faster) when the sled hits the top and starts to pull your truck down unlock the convertor and you'll gain an extra 10 to 20 ft.Two weeks ago I did that only building 10psi of boost(couldn't build no more it walked thru thu the brakes) with only a 17" high hitch and pulled the sled 22.5 mph with 35-36 mph wheel speed and walked it right out the back of a 350 ft track for the only full pull in the 7500lb class. In 8500lb the shortened the track a little and I pulled 342ft for a full pull when I spun out,but injector #6 stuck and melted piston so I couldn't come back in pulloff and had to settle for 2nd. When I unlocked the convertor I gained about an extra 20ft or so. Hope this helps.
I got my pulls on video, I'll have to try to put them on here.

I wish I could make it to PANA this weekend but instead I am off to Poland. I will have a few friends there. Just put it in drive Edge all the way up, Block the rear end stiff, get the sled rolling a little then floor it to get some speed up. If you have a copilot let it do its thing. If you need some more points from a pro talk to Rod Tarr he will be there putting the pull on. You can also hang wieghts in the 8000lbs diesel only class as well as the 7500lbs gas diesel challenge. Should be a decent pull good luck with it let us know how you do.
