Third trip to the track and I am running 11.00 looks like I have an understanding of how this works.... Don't start bashing us we don't need another war.

Understanding of the truck huh?.. Hmmm, tall words I would say.

I was under the same thought as Kevin. Lighter might not be the answer IMHO... It actually might come down to math in the end, staying at the traction limit. With the big cars, its done with clutching, not sure how to do it on a 4X4 truck...????

Speaking strictly as an uninformed observer, I think getting some good tires on that truck would make the biggest difference in traction. Drop the AAM axles, put in a D60/D80 combo so you can run 15/16" wheels, and put some slicks on there. That 2wd chevy was running just about as fast, and he only had half as many tires putting the power down, but they did a great job of actually getting it to the ground.

Good point. Wrinklewalls might be the ticket, even if only on the rear axle. Just some cushion for when the full power hits.

True we could even run a street et slick from hoosier then. Thats what the fastest street truck is running in 4 wheel drive. Things to look at for sure this winter.

Buck's d-max is only a bit heavier and it runs 9.8's. I think setup is probably an issue.
