He said that he is worried that other people will see were he made power and will be able to tune their efi equipped Dmax's to make the power in the same rpm range

There were some crazy # being "produced" that day from some mild and not so mild trucks.

He will dyno the truck on Dunbar's Dyno in June in MI at Merchant automotive open house(dmax specialist)so we will see what happens then,I would like to see some e/t runs out of it.

I can't believe the Wasp nest this has created. My biz partner is over at the Dieselplace and every thread started about the truck gets locked down. Seems like everyone who has put there hand on the truck is wanting to have their 15 minutes of fame.. Nutz..

How crazy is that, the Chevy site of all has to lock down threads on it. Meanwhile at DTR...

Now, just as I say that, I hear the locks clickin... Keep it technical guys.

Good point on the dyno sheets...He paid for them, they are his. What he wants to do with them is his business. From what I read, now every vendor is trying to lay claim to helping on the project. Greeeeedy people out there.

I don't see anything wrong with the guy wanting to keep his charts off the net. It's not like he won some kind of "golden hero biscuit".

If he is going to sell his 1000 HP "tune" to the public, then dyno sheets will be appropriate.

I wish them the best of luck with the whole project.. I don't care much about dyno sheets, and I do believe the numbers. I just wonder how it will do at a different dyno. I wish David would just take his dyno to the truck.. haha =) All people would put their doubts to rest then..

you would be surprised how easilly it is to duplicate or get a general idea of tunes this way

IMHO, I would venture a guess that the load cell dyno helped spool the twins a bit after seeing hte video, but how much is anyone's guess. Keith made fools out of everyone spraying their single 'charger dmax, I think there's a bit of jealously afoot in the DP ranks.

He has already admitted to making his power in an RPM range that is not the normal for that truck. If he wanted everyone to know what may have taken him weeks, and thousands to find out,he would have posted the graph already.Information shared here is great, but we shouldnt "expect" it,or think it is always going to be on the net.To be honest,if it were mine, with the replys and hot headed remarks,I wouldnt share it here either.

Even builders of a previous engine (which I think you mentioned) that has no bearing on it, or laying claim to the EFI live tune. Its a computer program, and everyone can share the files.. If you want to keep your tune secret, put it in a box IMHO...

I digress.. I can't believe the trouble this truck has caused.

There is NO reason that this thread has to be taken down the drain just because a few of you can't control your emotions. Scale back the personal attacks and keep it on focus.

Merely from a HP standpoint; Pre-Keith, I doubt you would have found anyone who would have claimed that twins & #2 only would put down more HP than #2, a large 'charger and nitrous. I base that mostly on gotJuice's dyno pulls right after Nathan finished that setup. I think most of hte community wrote them off.

Now that it's possible, I can't wait to see what the dmax camp can churn out. It's good for competition and everyone involved in the sport! How close is the No Limit truck to being ready for the '07 season? What date do your tracks open around there for test & tune?
