1000+hp d-max

XLR8R:
I am almost sure that Jess (kingd) is referring to his brother, Buck Spruill, who ran a 10.2 @ 134 MPH at the "T&S Performance Shootout" in Bowling Green, Kentucky last year! His truck is an Ext. Cab Chevy Duramax 4X4, Auto, which runs the Pro-Street Class at the DHRA Drag Race Events.

Merely from a HP standpoint; Pre-Keith, I doubt you would have found anyone who would have claimed that twins & #2 only would put down more HP than #2, a large 'charger and nitrous. I base that mostly on gotJuice's dyno pulls right after Nathan finished that setup. I think most of hte community wrote them off.
Now that it's possible, I can't wait to see what the dmax camp can churn out. It's good for competition and everyone involved in the sport! How close is the No Limit truck to being ready for the '07 season? What date do your tracks open around there for test & tune?

The truck has it's new motor with good parts in it now.The truck ran the 1/4 late last year with 125 miles on the new motor plus a few 330+ feet from the pulling track,we ran 11.41 on fuel only with the trans still learning it was acting up severely between 3-4 shift so we did not spray her that day.It will go quicker on fuel then we will start adding the spray again. When we ran the 10.85 pass it was still on a single cp3 not any more it fuels hard now.
Not sure what we are going to do since the rules have changed drastically for pro street in 07.We can't add any fiberglass parts to lighten the truck up since we truck pull locally and can't run fiberglass body parts and still truck pull.It weighs around 6100
John P, I don't believe they ran a 10.2 at the TS race.. It was in the 10's, just not that low. I was thinking either 10.6 or 10.8. I made it to that race, though my truck was out of the running before the race began. I know there's no weight restrictions and it must be a full size truck. I am also unclear about the class itself.. I know we run a 10.50 index. Is this just qualifying, or is this the race and afterwords the four fastest trucks can run all out if they choose.. I don't really understand.. It would suck to tune the truck to run 10.50's, and then be expected to tune it to go ***** out.
The local pulling rules do not allow fiberglass they want the trucks to be stock appering, that means no cowl hoods. The only non factory thing we run is a lexan rear window cause the cage runs thru it.
It's alot of fun to strip the truck down to around 6100 for drag racing and the get the truck to weigh 8000 lbs. max for truck pulling with no hanging weight.

You may be right. I was there at the "T&S Rally" too and as I recall Buck went low 10's (maybe it was 10.4?) but I will check and get back to you guys. Sorry if I made a mistake on that!
I know that Bucks Duramax is darn fast though!

) I agree, 6100 is heavy for that class. I'm guessing most trucks will be 4-4500 for the 07 season. I really didn't know what to make of the rules- I can't find weight minimums either. It should make Pro Street more reliable. Can you at least gut the dash inside and leave the case stock looking? Can you carpet delete? A/C & fan delete? Pull a battery? Cut the bed floor out? Plastic racing seats? Just thinking here. Now the big question is "who's the first to need a 'chute"? (150)

Best of luck to ya this year. brandon.

Stanford has a nice open class LOL
