Your mph looks way low for that combination. How old is the VP? What were your 60 foot times and what was your launch boost?

The vp was on there when I got the truck, don't know about before. 1.954 60' time and 10 psi launch

Do you have a billet input and output shaft? if you do a 20 pound launch will drop your times considerably. But the mph still looks really low for what combo your running. I generally 60 foot in the mid 1.6 to 1.75 range on an 8.2 pass.

Not so much...You are partially right. I will pull a 1.66 60' all day on 15#, 20# all I do is spin...so more isnt always better.

Watch that lock up switch. I shattered my flexplate on Sunday. Pulled a 1.66 60' hit the switch as soon as I hit 2nd. Truck bucked....BANG...no more tranny.

The 3rd gen trucks seem to have a much larger issue with breaking flexplates than the 2nd gen trucks. I have 246,000 miles on my stock flexplate and u-joints with numerous passes and heavy towing.
