Wow, i thought this thread was dead and gave up on it awhile back. My 60ft. times are 2.1-2.3 sec. I know I can improve my times with a better launch, but what do you guys suggest short of slicks to get traction? It's hard to keep from spinning at launch. My start usually goes like this. Power brake,Rev to 1500rpm's, quickly letoff the brake, let it roll about 1 1/2 truck lengths, then hammer it. If I rev any higher, or get on the throttle sooner, all that happens is major tire spin. Also, what do you think my times can be once I master the launch?

Try about 30 to 35 pounds of air in the back tires. It will make a measurable difference over the stock settings when it comes to traction. You should be able to get close to a 5 pound launch with 30 pounds of air in the tires.

Yeh sure . This is a daily driver/tow rig, and just a play toy every once&awhile on the weekends. I don't think I want to go to slicks, I just want to figure out the best way to launch to get a good 60ft. time. I've been told:for every 10th you take off the 60ft. times, you drop 2-10th's at the end of the track.
