It was my 1st official, for real tromp on the truck with the Adrenaline. Wasn't even flat out yet, 3/4 throttle, didn't see the boost display but maybe saw a 60 flash, was too busy trying to keep it straight in the middle of Deerfoot. coated the entire engine compartment.

Just spewing coolant, or oil too? You did pretty good with twins though, surprised it made it this long to be honest.

I didn't see any coolant........there was too much oil on everything to even see what color parts were. The gasket wasted at the very front edge of the head.

Cometic is supposed to be an alternative to o-rings, but hasn't proved to successful. I've been meaning to call cometic to return it, but have been lazy, and am guessing they won't take it back after about 4 months. But if you want to give it a shot, let me know.

You have to wait and see what those injectors really have left for ya? I got that old HX-40 of your apart. The turbine housing will fit right on my new HX-40's that I got. So I might have to break one in prior to running the garrett. That turbine bearing was shot. It will make a good spare parts turbo. What kinda of egt's did you see?
You using a new head or using you're old one? I know Peak has a 24v fresh sitting in the their shop. The head gasket isn't to difficult of a job, you just have to get the block in decent shape. I was sizing up putting on a new 24v head that I've found at peak performance but still needs some extra stuff for me. Heavy springs (4000+ rpms springs, titinum retainers) and ports are hogged out to the max. So its on my wish list. I still have a sweet 24v stock core on my bench if you want a head. It has to be cleaned up abit. I must crazy I just bought a gearbox cover for a 12v engine.
You can use my head and get it o-ringed. Leave your's together until you get the head back or when time premits. I Just need a core as using mine for mock on twins, so it doesn't have to be any good of a core. You just clean the old head prior to dropping it off. Its an option, as the valves aren't sunk and I can't see any cracks. I personnel rather have a new head, as they are a lot cheaper than you think to buy new. The head casting are really bad regardless which way you go. If you driven your truck hard (high coolant temps and high egt's) your valves and seats might be in rough shape. Get the head decked and have the machine shop document how much material they shave off. You might have to get a custom head gasket. If you had the time, and money, you could deck the block and get it true and straight. Old high mileage blocks are prone to wrappage. I'm planning on machining the block during the engine overhaul that I'm planning. As far as I know, no body has a decking plate for these motors. You could get one built but its will cost an arm.

Demon, my next motor work will be done by CT. The boys at PDR did a great job but shipping to BC was expensive and they took way too long. Aaron is minutes away and is a good guy. How much is he charging you for everything??
