Sims on a delete

Just wondering who has used the Sims instead of using a programmer when doing a dpf delete. What are or were the issues with them. Where is The best place to get them in Alberta?

The "SIMs" (simulators) for the DPF trucks never worked that well and are a mickey mouse solution.
I don't think anyone is using SIMs any more. ECM programming is the way to go.

The problem becomes that programming the ECM's on the newer vehicles is extremely complicated. Many modern ECM's are locked/encrypted and are difficult, if not impossible, to crack.

For your 2012, I'm not sure if EFI Live, Smarty/RaceME or H & S has anything available.
Of course as soon as you flash your ECM, it's totally detectable by the dealer and your warranty is gone.

The newer trucks are really nice but like everything, there are disadvantages also.
