Transmission shop in Calgary

Good morning Alberta DTR folks,
My truck got really sick yesterday. There is a horrible gridning sound when I am sitting still in park or neutral, if I accelerate or keep a load on the drivetrain the sound seems to go away. As soon as I take the load off the transmission to coast to a stop the grinding comes back. When sitting still it is AWFUL. It doesn't sound like it is in the engine, it sounds more like it is coming from the bell housing BUT don't take that as gospel, just where I think I hear it. I assume it has something to do with the input shaft or torque converter. Do any of you recommend any good tranny shops? I haven't boosted the power and I don't tow much and when I do I don't tow heavy.

I know the ABDTR chapter has been quiet lately but in case anyone checks in, I called Windemon today and his crew referred me to a shop in the Balzac area. My truck was towed there this morning.

Was going to suggest Accurate Transmission at Crowfoot. This is going back a few years but I know of several people they treated well.

Hope it goes well for ya wherever you end up.

My 02 47/48re transmission was built up by Steve as well. Steve does top end work and he will get you rolling soon. He does a mean 47/48re build, I got mine with as many clutches as I could for each drum. New TCS billet shafts and TCS converter. I'm just piecing my truck back together, I have been working way to much out of town, with my 2010. I prefer to use my older truck for the mucky stuff, its just cheaper to drive and break stuff.
