Has anyone had any dealer warranty experience on a '10 or '11 with just sims and a DPF delete pipe? Is that voiding engine warranty as well?

 

It could cause issues with a dealer looking to give someone a hard time.

 

here is the thing with any of this emissions garbage that is on these trucks.


mess with it and they can and will void warranty PERIOD.


anyone that does any performance mods with a truck still under warranty, they are playing on thin ice and crossing fingers that the dealerships blood pressure is normal that day and is thinking rational. there are many factors. I have seen dealers turn a blinds eye on stuff but they also take into consideration that the customer is not out beating their truck, at the track on friday/saturday and bring it in on monday with a roasted clutch or popped headgasket, tranny, turbo etc and some knucklehead video'd them going down the track! (have seen it first hand and the dude was like, it wasn't me but could still see the white shoe paint on the window from his number the track tech dude assigned him!).

so, take it for whats its worth. anyone who does deletes and still under warranty should still have in their posession the parts to return to stock to at least have the appearance of being stock. that also means removing EGT probe and plugging hole.
