Curious to see next weeks oil and gas quarter reports...This is just a rumor but this report could result in more oil and gas jobs to be cut...Hope the rumor is wrong..

Ya before its used to be all about product and how fast can you make the product at what ever the cost. The after down turn, people look at the pennies again. Just different cycles.

Before the down turn, I usually got to look at stuff that was broken or close to being broken. Natural gas prices are still pretty strong, you'll see drilling outfits look to drill for gas again. Its just the cycle, its gonna repeat again, just hang in there. One time there was hardly no oil production and people just want natural gas wells and there was only a few pipelines here in Alberta. The 80's and 90's, we came a long way. Its only gonna keep on growing. I read in the paper that oil supply/inventory has peaked and supply is starting to fall off, we heard that same stuff in the 70's, 80's and 90's.

Hey did you have any more problems with this? My truck started acting up lately.

Was in Lethbridge 2 weeks ago and it started missing and popping. Pulled over and checked codes, got 2146 and 2149 plus some others. Checked connections everything looked good. Tried to restart it and it started fine. Drove back to Cochrane fine and was fine till today. Was driving in Calgary and the engine popped twice, almost like a backfire and died and wouldn't restart. Checked codes, got 2146, 2149 and 0336. Tried to start after checking codes and it fired right up and ran fine the rest of the day.

Starting to think I've got a bad injector....

I just fixed one the other day with this same issue it was # 1 injector. There are 2 connectors by the valve cover on drv side. if you pull it apart you will notice inside that there are 6 pins and they run in pairs per injector first pair is cly #1 next pair is Cyl #2 etc. take a multi meter and read the resistance, I dont remember what its susposed to be but the bad injector will be a different reading than the others, A new injector at GCL diesel was a tad over 500$. it is also possible that the valvecover gasket (which has the wiring harness in it) is faulty, and it would be easy to find once you remove the valvecover and unhook the wiring from the injector and use a multimeter to check for opens/shorts in the wiring. When I was troubleshooting this truck it orginally was popping the code and would run crappy, he would clear the code and it would be good for a while, edventually the truck stayed running poorly and at the time of testing it was easy to find the bad injector
