Error Codes P-2146 & P-2149
Error Codes P-2146 & P-2149
My check engine light just came on today while while coming home from the in-laws out in the valley. I was doing about 75 coming up the grade when I suddenly lost power, there was a hesitation and then power came back. But it seemed to continue driving fine.
Once I got home I checked for error codes and found these to be the only ones in memory.
P2146-BANK 1 (CYLINDERS 1-3) SHORTED HIGH OR LOW
P2149-BANK 2 (CYLINDERS 4-6) SHORTED HIGH OR LOW
Now I do have the Juice computer added and have had it running fine for more than 40k miles so far. (the truck has 60k right now)
I'm wondering if this is something I might be able to resolve without taking it to the dealer. The FSM goes through the process of isolating an open circuit condition. But if I had 2 cylinders (1 in each bank) with open injector connections, I'm pretty sure it would run like crap.
Anyone else have these codes pop up on them?
Thanks
Ken

I think maybe I should have posted this in the other forum for the aftermarket stuff. But seeing as I can't move it, I'll let you know what I found here.
When I saw the 'check engine' light come on I assumed it wws something to do with original equipment. But just to be safe, I unhooked all the Edge connections and plugged everything back in normally. Fired it up and the 'check engine' light was gone. Drove it around the block and everything was fine. So I reconnected the Edge to see if the 'check engine' light would come back on. But it didn't. So I went around the block again and everything was normal.
So I'm confused. (not the first time either) Guess I'll just let 'er run and see if it acts up again.

It is the edge control box call them or email them and they will send you a new one if it is still under warrenty. Mine was and it was struck by lighting and they replaced it for me free of charge. I had the same problem as you.
