Question Dark Slate Interior Spray Paint??????

Hi guys. Just seems like when I want to get something from Mopar, they discontinue it from us!!!!

First it was those window rain deflectors things the quit making when I broke one and needed to replace it, the stopped making them...

Next, trying to find a set of 37"x12.5"x20" BFG All Terrain Tires, they stopped making that certain size!!!

Here's the story. I'm looking for a can of Dark Grey Slate interior paint to paint up my dual steering wheel pod for my gauges. Went to the dealer to find out they just stopped making it and discontinued it. The part # is 05069094AA and the paint code is XDV.

I has a can made up here in Red Deer at CAPS but it just doesn't match worth a ****. Can anyone ask around there local dealer to see if they have a can on the shelf hiding somewhere if they don't mind?? I have a few guys in the US looking for me.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone..

You buying new rubber for the truck Jamie? I have to buy two new sets of wheels for my 2010 and my 2002 this fall. Not looking forward to buy two sets of wheels.

As for your color, there is nothing close at Canadian tire? I saw that they carried a decent selection of interior paint.

See if there is someone that does interior repairs. They can match colors very well if they are worth their job.. There is a lady in Edmonton that is a bit spendy but she matches colors like a wizard..

Have you tried Genos?

It doesn't show it, but maybe they have that color left?

What kinda of mileage you get out the BFG's? I averaged 30-40k on mine. these toyo M-55 last forever, must have 70-80k on them, and they are only half used up. Even on the noisy VP truck, the tires are very loud at hiway speeds. Brand new, you almost need ear plugs in the cab. Seem to work well in most general hiway and works well on gravel. The BFG's worked better in mud and soft snow. The M-55 works better on the ice and hard pack snow and are aweful in mud.

Not sure what tires I'm going to buy this time around. Probably try a set of decent AT tires on the 02 and get a set of cheap hiway tires for the 10. Been trying not to drive the new truck to much.

My experience with the M-55's was 120,000 miles plus but terrible on ice.
Strange how we can get different experiences with the road conditions.
When I hauled campers I had these on the truck. Even the slightest grade even loaded up and I could break all six tires loose. That was a bit un-nerving.

Loud was/is an understatement.

but big scotty, you drive a mighty 6.7L, my 02 truck with M-55 is just a wimpy 5.9L truck. You should try the stock 2010 tires out for the winter.

My 02 has a total slip different, so the worst case is I just melt the ice. Never want to run M-55 again, but the long life is unbelievable. Going from a set of tires a year for that truck to three years with the same tires. Been wanting them to wear out a long time ago. Ya understatement on how loud they are brand new.

towing my RV in gravel, I would average 30-40k a year on them. Probably the best tire going, but wow they don't last long.
