Dana 70 Axle with 3.54 gear set for 1992

anyone know were I might find one . I need to rebuild mine and I figure it would be easier to do out of the truck, that way I am not rushed and i have no room to do his in my drive way

I have a friend with a doner truck for his other project with a 92 D70.. I will call him to see if he wants to sell.. Had about 300,000 on it.

i wouldn't go out and buy one till you see whats wrong with yours , could be a $50 fix . for the hour and $15 worth of stuff the check .

Thank you cLAYH . Yea I know wink My biggest problem right now is getting some shop space to do this , I am not going to do this in my drive way , I can tell bye how bad the noise was and the shake the other day it isnt going to be pretty and as far as the front end and just a seal I think the bearings are getting tired there to . I know the seal is easy to change . I have a feeling the front joints are tired to.

nope not yet just looking for some option . If my buddy will sell me the set he has for cheap i may just try and rebuild a set and then swap . I know i need front brakes and rear brakes too

i am just says it could be just a wheel bearing , when there loses there make alot of noise , easy fix , if it a open diff it could just siper gears ... if you want i can come over and give you a hand ,,,,
