Have you contact Harry at Peak diesel??Thats your best source..He is in BC...I don't think there are any good shops to buy things here...All the Alberta diesel guys deal with Harry..

That is not true. Many of us spend our money here in AB.

Richard @ Big Dog Performance in Calgary & Doyle @ Fuel Automitive near Strathmore have both helped me with wide range of quality parts & both have provided me with top notch service at fair prices.

 

Most of us guys have grown tired of paying the exorbatent prices that shops charge here in Alberta and shop at Peak or shops in the states.Harry @ Peak is realy hard to beat for customer service and pricing.

And you spend considerably more to buy in Alberta. I'd love to support a local shop if they could match Harry's prices and service. Until then, I'll send my money either to BC or to the US.

Most diesel shops in Canada are way more than that.

The parts I bought from the suppliers I named were comparible to US prices plus shipping, duty, brokerage & exchange at the time. Things may well have changed with our high dollar.

I also need my vehicles for work & play. When I need something fixed they accomodate me promplty. That & quality friendly service goes a long way with me. I am not doubting that there are shops where service is slow & prices are high but my experience with Big Dog & Fuel are all positive.

 

Harry doesn't have a service shop.

At the off chance that I need work done on my truck that I for some reason wouldn't do myself I would take it to Rob his shop rate was better then $75/hr last time I was there.

 

Have you seen the shop rates at the Chrysler dealers in AB?

Most are $135 to $139 / hr ... that is nuts.

He asked about buying parts, not getting them installed. Cheapest place to buy just about anything is from Harry. If he wants them installed and go to a shop, I'd point him to Rob. If he just wants a hand putting them on, I'm sure there are members here that would assist. It wouldn't be the first time that we've helped guys out.

But different strokes for different folks.

 

Peak Diesel is an excellant internet source for parts and excellant service. They are the ones who shipped me my FASS replacement overnight when no one in Alberta either had one or was willing to send me one. Funny how a few of the shops who sell products will only help out their customers. Even then sometimes it is not done with out a big hassel.

Good on Peak Diesel for fast prompt service to Canadians, the true meaning of great service from people who understand that some of us rely on our trucks for our lively hood. Having down time means loosing money.

A few other shops in or around Alberta offer good service but it seems hit and miss for people. Either your in or your not with them. Peak Will strive to help out a person stuck.

 

i deal with harry and dave on a daily basis great guys and service and my shop rate is now 90 an hour ... i couldn't say in the black doing the 75 an hour that i was doing ... but you need to look more at the hours then the shop rate , i find alot of shop say it's a 10 job at 75 when it's a 8 hour job at 90 still works out to be cheaper ... just for a example

 

realest, what truck are you deleting? A ford or dodge?

Which programmer you thinking about getting?

I done my truck, its pretty easy.

Last time I talked to Harry he had a H&S programmer in stock. Lots places are back ordered right now.

 

I am deleting a 6.7 Dodge that I am picking up out of Alberta next weekend. I plan to get a smarty jr as I am only looking for approx. 30-50 hp tune. Don't have a desire to hotrod. Considered the H&S display units for a bit....figured it would be cool to have the display but the jr. ability and pricing is winning me over. I have the ability to do the work myself no problem. Turn wrenches for a living for big rigs. Reason #1 I am doing these deletes the week I buy the truck. Emissions junk is the only thing I seem to fix these days. Granted I don't see the healthy truck often but I know first hand how sooty gross these things get on the intake side of things. Everyone can cry environment. I cry my poor engine and eventually my wallet LOL.

Where is this peak performance located? How can shipping and boarder fees be cheaper than local. Doesn't happen very often when it comes to mass available products like these.

I was quoted 850 for a 5" afe tbe with muffler, 575 for a smarty jr and 165 for a delete kit at a local shop in my city.

I googled a performance shopped called peak out of Langley BC. Is this the one mentioned? There pricing is no better than the stuff I got locally. It is all in american funds too.

 

Peak deisel is in Langley BC, they were cheaper than any shop i could drive to in Alberta, and Harry's price was shipped to me through Canada post to me in 5 days, I live way out in the sticks as far as canada post is concerned, in saskatoon i would say if you called early enough to allow shipping the same day you might see it in 3 days
