Last week when I drove home, I put $40 in Ft. Mac, and then filled up in Grassland. It was after the Flying J in Grassland that I noticed the smell. Filled up at the Coop in Airdrie, didn't notice the smell anymore. Filled up again at the Flying J in Grassland, and still haven't noticed the smell. So it might be the Shell I stopped at in Mcmurray. Will try this experiment out again when I drive home. The Coop did say 'may contain bio-diesel'.

I don't know but since I once got a bad batch of fuel back 5-6 yrs ago I never use anything but Shell.
Cheapest I found is the Flying J on 114.
I tried once the Superstore Diesel(needed smokes so decided what the hell) and hated the mileage.
I add 1/3 cetane booster(Diesel Kleen) , 1/3 - 2 strokes oil and 1/3 hydraulic oil in equal parts, 600 ml/tank.

I didn't see any indication of bio in it, but 109.9@flying J 170st immediately south of yellowhead.

Try out the gas buddy app for those of you with an app capable phone. I want to keep track of where is the cheapest...

On my fills at Coop in GP last week, it must be the blend on the Bio, but it must be soy bio? Didn't smell like the fry oil stuff from Dave for sure. The Flying J here in RD doesn't seem to have it flowing yet, but must be on the summer blend by now. On the way up to GP in the 97 I made a good 12.5L/100km and around 13 on the way back. (approx 650 km to 90L of fuel) Filled tonite at 1.109.

I do believe it all depends on what was fried in the oil. my brother makes bio, and we get the oil from mostly fish fry's. His bio smell like brunt fish fry. well that is what i think.

It's sweeter smell that doesn't burn the eyes, you'll know it right off the bat.
