Guys, I need to borrow a set of inside mics? Stuff to measure inside cylinder bore diameters and crank measurements. Thanks

Luke's right-a rail cap to isolate each one and a set of special banjo bolts to measure the return flow to see which one (or ones) are leaking by. There's also a harness connector to plug in to check the electrical side with a multimeter-I have that too. Combined with the DRB to do a cylinder kill, you should be able to pin down the offending culprit (or culprits).

I should go through my stuff to itemize it all I guess. I know I also have a 24 valve spring compressor (as does Luke), a compression tester with all the adapters to do 12 or 24 valve, some funny sockets for the tamperproof bolts on a VE pump. Some special flare sockets from Snap-On for injector lines. A blacklight kit for finding leaks-I have adapters for AC and dyes for pretty much anything-used it to find a stubborn oil leak on my '01. Somewhere in my goodies I have a combustion leak tester too that I bought to check for a head gasket leak-but have yet to use. Can you see a developing problem here?

thans jhanson, WE buildt a cap and just go right to the plug for ohming. don't have banjo bolts to measure feul return. you just cap each injector individually and see what the return line pressure is? condeme the injector that drops return pressure the most when capped i assume?

There is abit more to CR thou, need program like insite or the drb to up the rail pressure while the engine is @ idle. Then the fuel return test is done. Rail pressure is around 22,000psi. I wont really want to trust a home made cap. Yes I have do the test @ work. I have turning tool, 24 valve spring comp tool from source auto, 6" tap for doing head studs. Rest of the tools I need for fixing broken DD/MBE engines. This is from the LLoydminster area, can mail them thou

Our shop sucks....someday I'll win the lottery and build a decent one. We do have lots of tools though-I subscribe to the philosophy that you might as well buy the tool and do it yourself-then the tool will be there for the next time it's needed. I thought of a couple more things that I have kicking around that I bought intending to use in the 'patch but never did: an ultrasonic leak detector and an ultrasonic thickness gauge. I'll add them to the list after I go through the shop to see what other goodies are hiding in cabinets etc....

That sounds good Tate-I think you still have my cell #. I can't see anything too radical going on around the plant in February as long as the weather stays decent-all our services will be done next week and our new maintenance foreman has our little boosters pushed out to 2500 hour intervals now so as long as nothing unscheduled pops up I should be reasonably free. John, Reggie sold his house in Byemoor a couple years ago so you're SOL there-I'm sure we could find you some nice accomodations though if you want to move down here

I'm in edm and I have a cheap steering wheel puller that's great for vp's also got an obdII code reader.
If I stick around edm I will get a shop and get my tools out of storage. Then I will have a bunch more to offer.

If anyone needs some welding done I can do it if you provide the machine.
