Just matter of abit more time, someone will have a standalone computer programer available so you can throw it behind anything. ATS sells a programable box for the RE48. Lots of guys make stuff for allison and the ford. I just want the aftermarket to build a beef tranny that could handle 1000+rwhp and 1400+ft*lbs, that this motor can dishout.

Are you back at work again? I am on a little break here taking care of some projects and trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.
Guys seem to split the G56 around 700hp. I don't think the 12v will make it to that area, so I'm not overly concerned. It also seems to happen pulling or racing. If I wanted to race that thing, I'd leave the 5 spd in there. A 7 spd would be interesting. Theres a vid on youtube that has an old '80s chevy one ton with a Cummins and a 10 spd in it. I'm one could be stuffed in a dodge as well.

68RFE standalone will sell I'm sure-I have Googled it a time or two as a reference but found nothing. Someone will come up with something-they'll have to be smarter than me-I haven't written code since I left high school and I expect the world has passed me by since then.

Remember I'm old Tate-not quite as old as Scotty but not far off. I tend to like cast iron and old school "add a few extra pounds for longevity" engineering over aluminum and finite engineering technology. I also tend to believe that bacon is a vitamin, have no idea what the attraction is to Facebook and that silicone is good for gasket sealing, not so much for human enhancement but that's a topic for another time over a beer or two. Pretty soon I'll have suspenders and a rocking chair.

So what the magic RFE68 power number when it starts to fail or become the weak point?

I see that H&S released a transmission tuner, to do the band aid increase line pressure/rpm shift point stuff.

So a standalone RFE68 computer/controller can't be that far off.

Its not.. Soon an uploader will be available just for the 68RFE.. That and a good converter should be good for the 400-450 crowd. OD is still the weak link.

I've been figuring that my 10 would pretty easy to get near 500rwhp, and still run stock turbo, no twins. Drove my 10 truck to Minot today, going thru weyburn, I tried to use my exhaust brake as much as I could, as thats as loud as this truck gets. Hoped you like it Lil dog.

I'm impressed for a stock truck it runs as nice as it does. Honestly, I've been worring about breaking the truck as its still stock... than I would have driving my 02.

Hoping to be in Great falls Friday, need to pick-up some race trucks parts. So, I did the half sleepy eye look over there towards Regina, I was hoping the caffine would kickin. Drove thru the Maple Creek area deal, actually it was pretty decent easy drive out here from Calgary. Sure liking these cooled seats and the 10 seats. For a new toy, I've got a nervous 5000km on it.

That is their main route into Canada J. Up through North Portal and then they disperse west on 39. the number 1, hwy 11 to Stoon and 16 over to Edmonton.

There was a time when I hauled those things I could count in the high 40's of guys hauling everyday. At one time there where over 7000 haulers.

I thought that business was slowing down more. Noticed more last winter 09 and spring of 10.

I was thinking about this today, how many of us ABDTR guys are really 6.7L guys. I can't get over how much more power my stock 10 has over a stock 02 CTD truck. Not saying that bad about a 5.9L, but wow so far I've been impressed.
